Town boss pleased with point
Cheltenham Town dominated at Highbury but Alexander was pleased with the way his side, still decimated by injuries and suspensions, clawed their way back into the game.
He said: “We’re happy with a point. Over the 90 minutes I thought Cheltenham were a very good team. They put us under a lot of pressure and played some very good football.

Alexander was angry with Fleetwood’s defending in the lead-up to the Robins’ goal. He said: “The clearance out of the box wasn’t great. We’ve talked about what happened next a few times.
“When the ball is on the edge of the box, we want to get out quickly and we didn’t do that.
“We tend to stay in the box, around the six-yard line. It gives the keeper no chance. We have to do that better.”

Hide AdTown played with three men across the middle in a bid to match Mark Yates’ side, but Alexander believes his players lost the important mental battle for much of the game
He said: “We knew they would have bodies in midfield, so we went with three across the middle as well.
“They mentally dominated us. They were on the front foot and we were on a backward step.
“As soon as you do that you give up the momentum and that’s what we did. In the second half we pushed them back. and competed a little better.
“It’s still not enough, but when you’ve lost two on the bounce, to turn it round and get something shows the will is there.”
