That’s according to head coach Neil Critchley, who has already brought eight new faces to Bloomfield Road this summer.

While the Seasiders are keen to strengthen further, with a centre-back and a left-back thought to be high on their agenda, the team boss said that only players who genuinely want to be at the club will be signed.

Asked if Blackpool’s business is now complete following this week’s signings of Jordan Williams and Alex Fojticek, Critchley said: “No, we’re always on the lookout.

“We’re still working as hard as we can but sometimes you have to be patient.

“We want players to come here because they want to come here and they’re going to improve the squad.”

The one-year contracts for Fojticek and Williams were shorter than those handed to other new arrivals. Critchley said of Williams: “There’s also a one-year option, so hopefully Jordan will cement himself in the team and earn himself a second year. I’m delighted he’s come because at 24 I think we’ve got the best years in front of him.

“He can play in a couple of positions – as a six or in a back three if needed. He’s got a great attitude, great character and he’s fantastic on the training pitch. He’ll be an important addition.”

Blackpool fans will be able to purchase a match pass to watch a live stream of Saturday’s Carabao Cup first round tie at Stoke City for £10.

Pool’s League One fixture away to AFC Wimbledon on October 27 would be staged at QPR’s Loftus Road ground if work on the new Plough Lane stadium is not finished.

That Tuesday game could be the Dons’ first at their new home.
