“It’s very positive for me to be with a good club and starting games.

“I’ve started the last four games and appeared in a couple more.

“I’m happy with how it’s going for myself.

“I just want to stay in the team for longer periods of the season.”

Della-Verde is quickly adjusting to life in the third-tier – in particular to the physical side of the game.

He said: “It’s been tough, a good competition but I like that. I’ve enjoyed it.

“Physically some teams have been more difficult than others.

“As the season goes on, I think we’ll get stronger as a team, cope with others better and show how strong we are ourselves.”
