Bowyer wants Blackpool to keep who they can
It is a change of approach from Bowyer, who had previously gone on record in stressing the need for Blackpool to bring bodies in.
He has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his forward options, with his first-choice strikers Kyle Vassell and Mark Cullen no closer to returning from injury.

“January 2 came and we gave the players a day off, so I thought I’d take the day off as well, and my phone never stopped ringing.
“So the window is what it is. For us, the most important thing in this window for me is to keep everybody.
“Obviously there are certain areas I’d like to add to but we’ll have to wait and see on that.”

“It’s not just Curtis,” he added. “You go through the whole team, the performances of the players throughout have been very good in my opinion.
“But we’ve got lots of players here that can play higher. The window should just be a week really, that would be better for everybody.”
