The Seasiders finished the season in 13th place under the points-per-game method used by the EFL to decide final placings.
Pool had previously made a bright start to the campaign under Simon Grayson, sitting fourth and just four points off the automatic promotion spots after being Fleetwood Town in early December.

Liverpool Under-23 coach Neil Critchley was just getting started when the season had to be suspended in March due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Liam Feeney
Blackpool’s assist king, the 33-year-old enjoyed a superb campaign. Feeney has helped set up 17 goals in all competitions, with 14 of those coming in League One. The only other player in English football to have assisted as many goals is Manchester City’s Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne.
Armand Gnanduillet
Having scored 14 goals last season, the Frenchman has taken his game to another level this season with 18 goals from his 36 games in all competitions, marking his best season to date as a professional footballer.
James Husband
Having originally signed on loan from Norwich City during the summer, Husband made his move permanent during the January transfer window. Only Liam Feeney has played more minutes for the club this season than Husband, who excelled in an unfamiliar position on the left-hand side of a back three.
