Blackpool super-welterweight boxer RP Davies registered the first stoppage win of his fledgling professional career when he beat Casey Blair, from Bangor, Northern Ireland.

The end came in the fifth round at the Village Urban Resort in Blackpool when the referee stepped in to avoid Blair receiving further needless punishment.All Davies' previous six wins have been on points.Next up Davies will bid for an even more important first.He boxes for the Central Area title in Rotherham on April 2 against Dave Fidler, of Sheffield.On the same Blackpool card on Saturday, Alex McCloy maintained his 100 per cent pro record.The Blackpool super-welterweight prevailed on points against Aleksei Tsatiasvili, of Estonia, to make it five wins out of five.
