VIDEO: Resort kids celebrate Grandparents Day

Children love any excuse to see their grandparents – and these youngsters are no exception.

Schools and nurseries celebrated Grandparents’ Day by inviting the older generation in to spend time with the kids on Friday.

BAE Nursery, on Rake Lane, Warton, welcomed the children’s grandparents to spend time seeing what they get up to during the day.

Assistant manager Sam Jones said the day was a hit with everyone involved, young and old.

She added: “We had quite a few grandparents come along.

“They got to play with the children and then we all had tea together.

“The children really loved having their grandparents there.”

Meanwhile, staff at Shakespeare Primary School, in Fleetwood, put on a teddy bear’s picnic for the pupils and their relatives.
