Saddle up for charity cycle

It’s Trinity’s 30th year and organisers are hoping for a bumper turnout to mark the anniversary on Sunday.

The Beaverbrooks Bike ride has been running for 24 years and has raised £285,000 for the hospice in that time.

Fairhaven Lake is the south Fylde starting point for the event and riders can set off any time between 8.30 and 10am, with the finishing lines open until 3pm. Four different routes are available, covering 15, 18, 30 or 45 miles.

Linzi Young, Trinity’s fundraising manager, said: “This is Trinity’s 30th birthday year and we are hoping for a bumper turn out at the annual bike ride.”

Registration on the day costs £15 for adults and £7 for children – with all proceeds going to the hospice.
