Quit Squad aims to help smokers
The Quit Squad service is being provided by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Appointments can be made with trained advisors during the daytime or evenings at community venues close to people’s homes.

Hide AdDr Sakthi Karunanithi, Lancashire County Council’s director of public health, said: “Around 20 per cent of Lancashire’s population smokes.
“This is a major factor that leads to health inequalities across the county.
“As well as shortening life expectancy, smoking causes conditions such as cancer, lung and heart disease, which can lead to many years of poor health.
“A third of smokers want to quit and they’re much more likely to succeed with the support of services such as Quit Squad. “
