Bispham upholstery shop set to become cafe

Blackpool Council has approved plans for an upholstery shop in Bispham to be transformed into a cafe.

Approval was granted for Advance Upholstery on Red Bank Road in Bispham to be used as a cafe with indoor seating.

Owner Elizabeth Hinchcliffe said she had been in the upholstery business for many years, and had seen a decline in this type of service, documents showed.

"We have researched and there are other providers of this service in the area," she continued.

Planners were satisfied that replacing the shop with a cafe would not have a detrimental impact on the wider community.
