The doors have opened to the public at new golf simulator bar SimBar in Poulton town centre.

SimBar launched today ( Thursday December 7) from premises at 1 Tithebarn Street as punters tried out the state-of-the art golf simulation machines.

The machines allow players to test their skills on some of the world’s top golf courses.

The new enterprise has been set up by three Fylde coast golfing pals, Harvey Ross, Rob Bullen and Tom Farrell.

Rob said: “It’s great to finally get customers in, after all the planning.

"We’ve have good bookings for other days too, so we’re really pleased.”

SimBar uses GC Hawk Simulators, produced by internationally renowned company Foresight, and Rob said: “They are incredibly realistic and highly detailed, so if you are quite serious about golf, you can see your shots from all angles and analyse your game.

"But it’s all about fun and you can be just a bunch of mates hanging our or even come here on a date.”
