With over £300,000 of the huge £500,000 target already raised for the Save Our Stan campaign, entertainers from the north of England and West End stars such as Collabro joined forces and organised the virtual concert.

The musical show, which took place on Saturday night across various social media platforms, proved a big success, with Alfie contributing a version of Bill Withers’ Lean on Me.

Glenn Anderson, one of the organisers said “We are thrilled with the support from the music industry and delighted that a star like Alfie Boe agreed to help us.”

The concert exceeded its £3,000 fundraising target and has so far raised £3,027. For details of the overall campaign visit Save Our Stan on Facebook.
