Fylde hotel couple in TV spotlight on Four In A Bed
Andrew Whitaker, who owns the Mode hotels in Lytham and St Annes, is joined by wife Qidi on Channel 4’s Four In A Bed, which is broadcast daily at 5pm.
The Whitakers and three other hotels owners compete on the basis of value for money as each stays at the others’ properties in turn and whether Andrew and Qidi have been successful will be announced in the final episode of the week on Friday.

“It was great fun,” said Fylde-born Andrew, who opened the Lytham hotel last year.
He has owned the Mode, St Annes since 2015, having previously worked in hotel management all over the world.
“It was originally due to be broadcast in March but put back because of lockdown,” he added.

"Whatever the outcome of the competition, it’s a good chance to highlight the area.”
It’s not the first time the couple have competed on TV. Two years ago, they and daughter Jasmyn were on BBC’s Family Cooking Showdown.
