Blackpool Pleasure Beach to close early following lockdown announcement

Blackpool Pleasure Beach will be closing earlier than planned for this season following the Government's announcement of a second lockdown.

The Promenade attraction has advised it will be in touch with anyone who has booked tickets for the Winter Weekends and any other shows or events scheduled up to Wednesday, December 2.

Despite not mentioning the lockdown specifically, bosses will have made the decision ahead of all non-essential retail being forced to close from Thursday when the lockdown comes into place.

A spokesman for the amusement park said: "To all our guests - we will close at 5pm tomorrow (Sunday, November 1) and will reopen on Saturday, February 6 2021. If you have a pre-booked ticket for Winter Weekends, or any shows and events up until the 2nd December 2020 we will be in touch with you shortly. Thank you and stay safe everyone.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach will celebrate it's 125th Anniversary next year with lots of events planned, including the reopening of Valhalla.
