Blackpool Civic Trust chairman Joan Humble said: “The aim is to show aspects of our wonderful seaside heritage from humble beginnings in the early 1800s to the boom years of the 50’s and 60’s to the regeneration ongoing today.

“Inspiration could come from Fleetwood to Lytham St Annes and all the glorious seaside in between; from seaside postcards and theatre bills, artistes and attractions, buildings and tram shelters, the piers and sideshows, Town Hall and Raikes hall.

“Do a little digging into what has made Blackpool the town it is today and think how you can portray it in a picture which will look good in a calendar. “

The Exhibition will be held at Stanley Park Visitor centre where the shortlisted artworks will go on display, and the final 13 winners will each receive their artwork framed as their prize.
