Neighbourhood Watch to shed light on scams
The Wyre Neighbourhood Watch Association will hold its first meeting for over 60s at the Teanlow Community Centre in Poulton on Monday, from 10.30am until noon.
The group, which was previously known as the Garstang and Over Wyre Neighbourhood Watch, recently expanded to cover a wider area and has been rebranded.

“Elderly people are more vulnerable. People are targeting them on the internet and door to door because they are more trusting than the youngsters.
“The Neighbourhood Watch has gone off a bit over the years and we want to bring it back.
“We’ll be holding events around Wyre promoting Neighbourhood Watch and asking if they would like to join and be the eyes and ears of the community, to report crime and help the police out.
“We have had grants from county councillors and we have got support from Wyre Borough as well.”
