Mum's The Word - February 23, 2016
While I felt like an emotional wreck; he looked as excited as a child who’s not seen a sweet shop since last year.
I’m talking about our baby moving from his cot into a big boy bed. And not only that, he’s moved into a brand new room.

And – fingers and toes crossed – it’s all gone well.
I remember lying William down in the cot in his nursery for the first time when he was four months old – he looked around, smiled, waved his hands around a bit and then went to sleep.
Now I’m putting our toddler to sleep in his big boy bed, it makes me realise how quickly those (just under) two years have passed. Where’s our little baby gone?
I was worried William wouldn’t settle in his new surroundings. But the hubby slogging away decorating the bedrooms certainly paid off.

(We’ll probably regret that decorative decision when he’s playing “brum brum”, scratching his cars up and down the wall!)
It’s funny how he looks both grown up, yet small, in a proper bed.
We can tell he loves having his older sister snoring away above him.
It’s a good job we’ve attached a bed guard, or I’m sure the cheeky chap would be trying to sneak up for secret chats with his sister!
