Mum's The Word - April 19, 2016
His speech has really come on over the last few months – in part due to him being a cute little copycat.
He’s started to copy sentences almost word-for-word, like “put wellies on” and “go to park”.

When the hubby said (and apologies, in advance) “Oh Jesus” the other day, a little parrot on the other side of the lounge started saying “oh jeeeees, oh jeeeees oh jeeeees”.
Then a few days later, I addressed the hubby as “Tone” (I know, it’s not actually any shorter than saying Tony – but hey ho).
Next minute, William walks up to his Daddy – saying “Tone, Tone, Tone, Cone, Cone.”

Thanks Cone!
Although William is being ever-so-slightly cheeky, it’s very hard not to laugh when he’s just exploring his new language ability.
And his little impressions are by far the most entertaining.
My particular favourite at the moment is his impression of PC Arthur Selby – Postman Pat’s pal, for those among you who aren’t up to date with the residents of Greendale village.

Thank goodness that PC Selby is a well-mannered sort of chap – or I really dread to think what would be coming out of William’s mouth.
