Mum's hunt for Good Samaritans who helped injured daughter
Karen Wilkinson’s daughter, Abigail, needed four stitches in her forehead when she fell off her bike while on a bike ride with her mum on Blackpool Promenade on Sunday.
The eight-year-old Thames Primary School pupil lost control of her bike while cycling downhill opposite the Norbreck Castle hotel at around 2.30pm.

“She had taken a big chunk out of her forehead and there was a lot of blood. She was very upset and crying.”
Abigail’s saviours came in the form of a passing couple, who called an ambulance for the girl as Karen’s phone failed to pick up any reception.
She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where she had four stitches in her forehead.

“They stopped and made sure she was OK. The gentleman called the ambulance for us.
“I would love to meet them so I could say a big thank you for everything they did.
“Abigail is recovering now. We had to go back to the A&E for another check-up but she seems OK. She even wanted to go to school on Monday.
“She’s back at school now and feeling much better.”

They had a young girl with them aged about five-years-old, and a small, brown dog on a lead.
They spoke with local accents, and it is believed they live in the Norbreck area.
