Landmark windmill set to get new sails
LYTHAM Windmill will be restored to its former glory tomorrow when two brand new sails are put in place.
Fylde Council had to order two new sails for the landmark after they were damaged in storms last year.
The sails have been crafted by Wesham-based millwrights N Gillet and Son, who will be responsible for lifting them in to place.
Work will begin on repairing the windmill tomorrow morning and the windmill will be turned once in place so the newest sails are at the top.
