Dog trainer Jules O’Dwyer, who was born and brought up in Marton but now lives in Belgium, took the ITV talent show title back in June.

And tonight she will be seen on stage at the Royal Albert Hall, with her canine chums in the show which was filmed last month.

They performed another of their heart-warming sketches, in front of Prince Harry, on the night hosted by comic and actor Jack Whitehall.

Also on the bill were singers Elton John, Kylie Minogue, One Direction and Little Mix, with more comedy from Chris Ramsey, Romesh Ranganathan and Matt Forde. Jules’ win with Matisse prompted controversy when it emerged a second dog took part in their final-winning sketch, crossing a high wire because Matisse was too nervous to complete that part of their stunt.

More than 1,100 complaints were received, and ITV agreed to refund ‘misled’ viewers who had paid to vote for the act, or would donate the money to charity, after broadcasting watchdog Ofcom ruled it broke broadcasting rules by ‘misleading viewers during the series finale’.

Jules started her dog dancing career with Blackpool’s Tower Dog Club, and went on to win the ‘international heel work to music - freestyle’ class at the world-famous Crufts dog show in 2013.

This success saw her invited on to Britain’s Got Talent.
