Get up close to prehistoric puppets on daring adventure
Step back in time with a theatrical treat for all the family at the Grand Theatre this weekend.
The spectacular new show Dinosaur World Live will transport children of all ages back to prehistoric times to walk among some mega beasts and meet the fearsome extinct creatures as they’re brought back to life on stage.
A spokesman said: “Grab your compass and join our intrepid explorer across unchartered territories to discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs.
“Meet a host of impressive creatures, including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the tyrannosaurus rex, a triceratops, giraffatitan and segnosaurus, to name a few.”
We ran into a couple of the friendlier beasts recently at the Grand’s season launch - and it’s safe to say they’re not afraid to get up close and personal given half a chance... Which is a good thing as the live show includes meet and greet opportunities with dinosaurs of all kinds and ages.
Using stunning puppetry to bring a range of remarkably life-like dinosaurs to the stage, the show reveals a host of impressive creatures including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the tyrannosaurus rex.
