Fylde holiday village retains top award

Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, has won five star accreditation from Visit England for the seventh year running, maintaining it’s status as Lancashire’s only five-star holiday village.

The assessment by Visit England has awarded The Village five stars following a stay where it said Ribby Hall Village scored highly in all aspects of accommodation, facilities and grounds.

The report graded The Village with an overall score of 93 per cent in terms of cleanliness, facilities, service and maintenance.

Ribby Hall Village is one of just seven holiday villages in the whole of England to achieve this standard.

Visit England’s quality assessment report comprises scores, star rating and commentary reflecting the experience of the Quality in Tourism assessor on the day of the visit. The report is issued following a visit and extensive assessment where The Village is measured and assessed on a variety of factors from cleanliness to service. The report makes references to the high standards of cleanliness, service and presentation within accommodation and facilities around The Village. Accommodation at Ribby Hall Village includes modern, well-equipped self-catering cottages, pine lodges with outdoor hot tubs and three larger bespoke properties, plus the adult-only SPA Hotel.

Managing Director Mark Partington said: “At Ribby, we are constantly reinvesting profits back into the business with the aim of improving the holiday experience year on year.

“Last year a significant investment was made in refurbishing our accommodation, the health club and the opening of two new eateries.

“For 2016 we are really excited about our new addition ‘Wild Discovery’, an interactive animal experience and a new kids club which is also being launched later this year for our holiday guests.

“I do believe however Ribby Hall Village’s greatest achievement is that of the team, and the pride that all employees take in the development and maintenance of our five-star holiday Village.”
