Fleetwood outbuilding blaze and chimney fire tackled by Fylde coast's firefighters

A large fire broke out in Fleetwood on Friday and had to be tackled by crews from across the Fylde coast.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) received reports of a fire involving an outbuilding on Rossall Lane in the town at around 10pm.

The service sent four fire engines and crews from Fleetwood, Bispham and Blackpool’s stations to tackle the blaze.

The crews were at the incident for approximately two hours according to LFRS and firefighters had to use four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the blaze.

LFRS didn’t report anyone being injured following the incident.

Only two hours prior to the blaze a crew from the Fleetwood station and the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool station were sent out to a chimney fire at a house on Mount Street in the town.

It took the firefighters around two hours and ten minutes to extinguishing the fire after being called to the incident at 8pm.
