First-team players head to schools for sport sessions
A number of Town’s first-team players went along to extra-curriculum activities at Larkholme, St Wulstan’s and St Edmund’s, Manor Beech and Thornton Primary schools to participate in physical activity sessions.
Monday saw Ash Hunter, Wes Burns and Kyle Dempsey turn up to Larkholme Primary School to take part in a cricket session lead by Community Trust coach Mike Tallentire.

Hide AdThe three players joined in, and tested the children’s skills in batting and bowling.
Mike, the school sport co-ordinator said: “It’s been terrific to see the players take time to come and visit some schools as they can really inspire the children and it is something they will remember for a long time.”
On the same day, Markus Schwabl, Joao Morelli and Sebastian Des Pres surprised the children at Manor Beech Primary School in Cleveleys to join in their football session and sign autographs.
Then on Thursday, six more first-team players paid a special visit to Thornton Primary School and St Wulstans where the children engaged with them in a question-and-answer session, alongside after-school activities.

Hide AdPaddy Madden, Ash Eastham and Toumani Diagouraga were supporting ‘Know the Score’ campaign at Thornton Primary School and joined in with the school’s new after school club activity Boccia – a Paralympic sports introduced in 1984.
While at St Wulstans, Lewie Coyle, Cian Bolger and Alex Cairns took time out of their day to participate in the hockey session, answer questions and also take pictures and sign autographs with the children. Nathan Pond, Jordy Hiwula and George Glendon a;sp attended Flakefleet Primary to take part in the +Sport Move and Learn programme.
