First Big Clean Sweep hailed a huge success
Wearing yellow bibs, volunteers picked up litter, power washed, and cleaned up shop fronts. They also put in new plants.
Chairman Jane Littlewood said: “Between us we have made a significant difference to the look of the town and at the same time encouraged people to be community minded.”

Hide AdThe group was set up using £10,000 of Government cash that was awarded in January. It has already coordinated a town centre retail questionnaire, which helped develop an action plan.
