Fashion giant's new Blackpool Retail Park store will create 30 jobs

Fashion retailer TK Maxx has confirmed the long-expected opening of its latest store at Blackpool Retail Park, off Squires Gate Lane.

The sign has already gone up above the entrance to the building but shoppers will have to wait until February 25 before the doors open.

The existing TK Maxx store on Bank Hey Street will stay open and will be unaffected by the new 14,934 sq ft shop.

A spokesman said: “We think that Blackpool’s shoppers will love having TK Maxx on their doorstep.

“TK Maxx is a store that offers a huge choice of great value style, for the wardrobe and the home all under one roof.

“With thousands of new items arriving each week, customers will always find something individual and special at a great price every time they visit.”

Signs have been up outside the new store for several weeks but TK Maxx have only now officially confirmed they are opening another Blackpool branch.

Despite repeated enquiries from The Gazette, the company had previously refused to confirm the long-rumoured second store.
