This is what to do if your credit card has been stolen and used to purchase goods
Here's what to do if it happens to you.
Don't panic: Remember, your card provider should always be able to refund you in full for any transactions that take place after you've reported your card missing.
Report it as soon as possible: Report the card as lost or stolen with the card issuer as soon as you realise it is missing. The sooner you report it the better, as this could affect where you stand legally if your card is used by a thief.

Keep an eye on your account: Check your account over the next few days or weeks to make sure no further unauthorised transactions are made.
If this hasn't happened to you, here are some preventative measures you can take to be prepared for the worst should it happen:
• Only carry the cards you need with you, leave the rest at home.
• Keep your pin secure and separate from your card.
• Never store your pin in your phone.
• Store emergency contact numbers for your bank in your phone.
