A suspect has been identified after a man was left with a broken jaw following an assault in Blackpool.

A man in his 20s was punched in the face inside Trilogy Nightclub in Talbot Road at around 12.05am on Tuesday, December 27.

The victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police on Friday (January 6) released a CCTV image of a man they wanted to talk to in connection with the attack.

Officers later confirmed the suspect had been identified following the appeal.

“Further to our earlier CCTV appeal about an assault at Trilogy Nightclub in Blackpool, a man has been identified and will be spoken with in due course,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.

“Thanks to everyone who shared our appeals for information.”
