Seven people arrested after fight involving machetes and bats breaks out on Fleetwood car park

Men armed with weapons, including baseball bats and machetes, reportedly started a fight in The Esplanade car park at around 8.05pm on Monday, April 12.
The group then made off from the scene in two vehicles as officers arrived.

Hide AdToday (April 14), seven people were arrested overnight and this morning following a "number of enquiries".
Three men aged 25, 28 and 41, two men aged 23 and a 22-year-old man, as well as a teenage boy, all from Fleetwood, have been arrested on suspicion of public order offences and are in custody.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information and urging anyone who witnessed the disorder, or has video footage of the incident, to come forward.
Det Insp Abi Finch-Hall, of Blackpool Police, said: "We have a made a number of arrests and resources have been increased in the area.

Hide Ad"You should expect to see a substantial police presence in the area in the coming days while our enquiries continue.
"Incidents of this nature are rare and we understand this will have caused some concern in parts of the community."
