"Do you know where your child is?," said the force in a social media post.
"We are currently dealing with up to 20 youths in the Gorton St area breaching Covid regs and acting in an antisocial manner including throwing eggs at attending officers."
The Gorton Street area has been a hotbed for anti-social behaviour and has seen a number of clashes between police and youths.

"They caused criminal damage to my home and terrified my girlfriend who was scared to leave the house after what they had done."
Last June, a police officer lost consciousness after he was kicked in the head by a 14-year-old boy, who was later charged with assault.
The officer, who had to be hospitalised, had been trying to detain a 12-year-old near Talbot & Brunswick Children’s Centre after the boy damaged a fence.
