Police cordon off Fleetwood chippy following incident

A chip shop in Fleetwood has been cordoned off following an incident.

The incident is believed to have happened outside the Eating Plaice chippy at the corner of Lord Street and Mount Street.

Officers have cordoned off the area outside the chippy and traffic is being diverted.

Insp Phil Broughton, Lancashire Police's Force Incident Manager, said: "We responded to the incident at around 4pm to a disturbance on Lord Street.

"Following officers arriving at the scene, one person has been injured and has been taken to hospital. We have also arrested another person in connection with the incident.

"We won't be able to provide further details currently until we know more about what has happened."
