Man wanted in connection with credit card theft in Blackpool

A man is wanted by police investigating the use of stolen bank cards in Blackpool.

The bank cards were stolen from a car which was broken into in Sandgate, off Squires Gate Lane, overnight on May 30.

Officers have since traced the credit cards to a number of unauthorised transactions made at local shops in the hours following the theft.

Police are now seeking the public's help in identifying a man who was filmed on CCTV at one of the shops at 9.30am that morning.

In the footage, a man (pictured) with short, blonde hair is seen wearing sunglasses, a black t-shirt and a black hoody with a zipper.

PC Rob Stone said: "Can you help identify this man?

"Overnight between 29/05/20 and 30/05/20 a car was broken into on Sandgate in Blackpool.

"Some of the items stolen were bank cards which have subsequently been used at a number of local shops.

"We would like to speak to this man in connection with the theft."
