A 37-year-old man remains in custody this morning after a mourner was stabbed at a funeral service in Blackpool yesterday (April 30).

He has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man in his 40s was stabbed repeatedly outside Carleton Crematorium at around 1.45pm.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his chest and shoulder and was rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where his condition is described as 'serious but stable'.
