Chance to look inside historic Blackpool windmill

Little Marton Windmill will open on Easter Sunday for the first time this year with tours of the Grade II listed building between 11am and 3.30pm.

Visitors to the attraction on Preston New Road, Blackpool, will be able to climb to the top of the mill taking in the machinery and extensive displays on route.

A tour and refreshments costs £2 for adults and is free for children.

Shirley Matthews, of the Friends of Little Marton Windmill, said: “This little part of a rustic industry now long gone is recreated within the mill by the hardy bunch of volunteers helping to preserve this vital piece of local history.”
