Carnival route change to support seafront traders
The big summer event takes place on Saturday, June 17, and there is a slight alteration to the route.
Unlike previous years, the procession will not turn right at the North Euston Hotel – instead it will continue along The Esplanade, past the RNLI, Ferry Cafe and amusement
arcade and will move into
Kent Street.

Chairman Ann Hanvey said: “We have changed the route just to support the amusement arcade and shops along that point before we turn into Kent Street.
“We are a small committee and thank you to all who have worked so hard to put on this Carnival, we are always looking for new members to come along and help.”
Helpers are needed to carry one of the sealed collecting tins. They can be picked up and signed for in the Marine Hall foyer from 11.30am.
Ann added: “If not taking part in the parade please come and line the parade route and put some of your spare change in our sealed collecting tins.”
