Caring pupils help make Easter for Friends
But they weren’t strangers for long when a group of excited Staining Primary School pupils visited the Just Good Friends community group at the Palace Rooms, Garden Street, St Annes.
Bev Sykes, of Just Good Friends, established the group to provide an opportunity for anyone in the Fylde area who may be feeling lonely, isolated or in need of a bit of help to meet on a weekly basis.

The five and six-year-olds prepared personalised Easter cards for Just Good Friends and delivered them to the members last Wednesday.
Tesco in Blackpool also arranged for Easter eggs to be delivered.
Bev Sykes said: “This brought young and older together for Easter in a wonderful act of kindness.

“There are more than 40 JGF benefitting from this kindness and the children received Easter eggs too.
“It was a lovely morning and we all enjoyed it very much.”
Dawn Hayward, learning mentor at Staining Primary School, said: “Thank you to everyone for making the children feel so welcome.
“It was an honour to join in with the Easter celebrations.”
