Eatery makes awards shortlist

A Fylde coast restaurant business has made the shortlist for a top Lancashire award.

Toast Cafe Bar and Grill, which has premises on Corporation Street, Blackpool and Wood Street, St Annes, is up for the Taste Lancashire category at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2013.

Toast is the only Fylde coast restaurant to make the shortlist and is competing against the likes of Preston’s Heathcote’s Brasserie and Quite Simply French in Lancaster.

Richard Caunce, Toast proprietor, said: “We are still comparative newcomers – especially in St Annes – so to be shortlisted alongside some the best known establishments in the county is a real feather in our cap.”

The winners will be announced on November 7 at Blackburn Cathedral.
