AFC Fylde's new project will tackle loneliness in the community
and live on Freeview channel 276
Supporting vulnerable over 65-year-olds, it will focus on providing support and helping them to reintegrate into the community where they live.
Wes Partington, Foundation director, said: “During the past 12 months we have all experienced challenging times.

Hide Ad“Although there are some great initiatives already being delivered there is still a lot of work to be done to support vulnerable people living in our community that are suffering from
loneliness.”
The charitable arm of AFC Fylde Football Club will be working closely with the National League Trust, local business Kepak Convenience Foods and Fylde Council.
Their partnership funding will enable the Foundation to run the programme for a year initially.
The will see the Foundation employing workers who will help socially isolated and lonely people to take control of their health and wellbeing.

Hide AdThe employees will connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support in addition to supporting existing groups to be accessible and
sustainable.
Wes added: “I’m confident that our partnership approach will enable us to achieve positive results and I’d like to thank all of those organisations that have stepped in to help and fund this
potentially life- changing programme.”
The project will also develop and deliver different activities and work alongside local people to start new community groups. They are encouraging any organisation or individual who can
