Blackpool health group wants you to share your views on Facebook

Healthwatch Blackpool said its ‘Voice Box Online’ group is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, and said it would act as a ‘sounding board’.

Chief executive Sheralee Turner-Birchall, said: “Healthwatch Blackpool is here to make sure that all people in our communities are listened to and this project aims to give a voice to local people.

“It is vitally important that the needs of differing communities and individuals are considered by those who run, commission and regulate health and social care services.

“Our Voice Box Online Facebook group will form a crucial component of our community engagement and will ensure that Healthwatch is applying a collective voice for the residents of Blackpool when it comes down to representing their views.”

Those joining the group must fill in an entry questionnaire, could be denied access if they’re not local, and face having their posts approved – which could take five days – before they appear.

The group is also ‘not a platform for discussing and dealing with individual health and social care complaints’.
