Blackpool Council launch new Active Blackpool exercise app for Apple and Android users

Blackpool Council’s Active Blackpool have launched a new exercise app for smartphone users.

The new app is designed to share workout plans, exercise classes and challenges with the resort’s residents.

A spokesman for the council said: “The app also links with a number of trackers including Garmin, Fitbit, Strava, Mapmyfitness and more, to ensure all of your training is brought together in one place.”

To download the app go to wy6i.app.link/blackpool and there is also a demonstration of the app on YouTube. It can be downloaded for Andorid and Apple users

The council have also announced through its relationship with fitness company Les Mills, residents can access ‘Les Mills on Demand’ in full for free for 60 days, with a special discounted rate after

The spokesman added that it can be cancelled at any time.
