Proposals for holiday park to be built on farmland in Weeton
Fylde Council has received a planning application for land at Barnfield Farm, Back Lane, Weeton, to be changed for the siting of six holiday lodges, a warden’s cabin, six touring pitches and a fishing lake.
The plans were submitted last week by Leyland-based planning company De Pol Associates.

Some 12 trees would be planted on the holiday park, as well as a large number of natural woodland plants.
De Pol Associates said: “The application proposal will create jobs and support local businesses. It will also assist in the diversification of the rural economy as supported by local plan policy.
“Following the recent pandemic investment and job creation will be critical in rebuilding the economy. The application proposal will support this and is a significant material consideration.
“Any visual impacts as a result of the proposal are mitigated by the extensive and positive planting scheme proposed as part of the development.”
