Lancashire Fire Service is looking for on-call firefighters at its Fleetwood and Garstang stations

The service is looking for people who can provide cover from home or work.

A spokesman for LFRS said: “On-call firefighters often have another job and will provide on-call cover from home or their place of work.

“They respond to emergencies when their pager alerts them, so must live or work within five minutes travel time from the station.

“Recruitment to a particular station will be dependent upon the available hours at the time of the closing date, if the station you have applied for does not have available hours at that time, your application will be carried forward to the next recruitment campaign.”

The hours are between 60-120 hours per week and shifts vary between stations.
