Change of owners for Poulton dental practice

The Hardhorn Road Dental Practice has been acquired by Dr Alexander Johnson and Dr Adam Pourmahak who were previously associates at the site, through agent Christie & Co.

It has been sold by Dr Andy Brady, who said he has decided to sell as part of his future retirement plans but will remain working for the foreseeable future and “won’t be slowing down any time soon”.

Dr Johnson and Dr Pourmahak are first-time buyers and, with the help of Christie Finance, were able to secure a loan from the bank and consequently secure this deal.

The pair said they were looking to carry on the reputation of the Practice and introduce further specialisms and modernisation over the coming years.

They said, “From the very start, Jawad Anjum from Christie Finance, was realistic about the feasibility of the purchase. Neither of us had a great deal of capital and he understandably kept our expectations at bay. However, he was positive and reassured us that if it wasn’t a workable deal then it wouldn’t happen. It had to work for all parties.”

Jonathan Watson, director of medical at Christie & Co, said: “I am delighted that the seller can now carry on practising for many years without needing to devote as much time to practice management. Given the current situation it is a real statement that deals of this size can be completed, and to independent purchasers reliant on bank funding.
