From September, the course will teach the ins and outs of lighting, sound engineering, and other technical aspects of live events including masterclasses led by industry professionals; hands-on workshop sessions; the chance to shadow the technical team as they stage manage live gigs, and for the young creatives in the programme, to independently manage a full show.

The project has been created to support, nurture, and discover the next generation of technical and stage managers.

"The opportunity of working alongside some of the Industries leading technicians will give young people with an interest in technical theatre a great grounding in the skills needed and give them real hands on experience.

"Lowther has always supported young performers and now it is time to literally turn the spotlight on those working in technical positions and backstage. I am thrilled that we have the opportunity to train the next generation and help in giving so much pleasure to so many.”

Applications are now welcome. Email technical@lowtherpavilion.co.uk with contact details and a few details about who you are and why you think you would be interested in this course. Runs September 21 to November 23, Mondays.
