Christmas shows start to get into their swing...

Swing Into Christmas takes place tomorrow at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham and features three of the UK’s top swing singers, including local lad made good Tony Benedict.

Songs you can expect to hear performed include Let It Snow, A Child Is Born, Winter Wonderland and Santa Baby. An orchestra led by Greg Francis provides the backing.

• Crofters Jazz Club holds its annual Christmas Jazz Party on Sunday when Jazz Gentlemen will be providing the music.

It takes place at Crofters Hotel in Garstang from 8-10pm and the band – who will perform a special Christmas theme set – will feature trombonist Terry Brunt.
