If you want to enjoy one of the most unusual and eclectic nights of all time, book to see Winning Post at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood, tomorrow.
First past the post is Bob Champion, former jump jockey who won the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti – two years after being diagnosed with cancer. He’s since raised millions for cancer research through the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
He’s joined by another inspirational former jockey, BBC commentator Richard Pitman, horse breeder, novelist and the man who donated a kidney after seeing one his close friends benefit from a kidney transplant. Richard rode 470 winners in his career – although Red Rum pipped him to the post.
Comedian and magician Martin Daniels, son of the late great Paul Daniels, is also on the bill along with former Hollyoaks heart throb Tom (Spike) Vaughan, actor and vocalist, and ex BBC presenter Andi Mac. Andi has many years of experience within the entertainment industry and also appeared with Paul Daniels and Martin Daniels in Penn and Teller’s ‘Fool Us’ for ITV.
The event is presented by Andy Mac Associates. It starts at 7.30pm, tickets £15, call the box office on 01253 887693 or visit www.marinehall.co.uk
