Sugar Baby Love topped the charts and sold over 10 million copies - and everyone will be singing it when they leave the Marine Hall, Fleetwood, after the Rubettes concert there on Friday May 20.
It’s a chance to catch the ultimate pop glam band of the 1970s up close and personal and relive the glory days.
The line up features Alan Williams, the original vocalist and guitarist, John Richardson and Mick Clarke, also both original band members on drums and bass guitar respectively, joined by Steve Innes Etherington on keyboards and guitar.
Together they are touring the UK for only the second time since they first stormed the charts with Sugar Baby Love.
And boy are they making up for lost time with a tour of 55 theatres.
There will also be a selection of songs of special significance to the band members, with some album tracks that they have never before performed live.
All this is interspersed with recollections and anecdotes surrounding the early years and crowd pleasers such as Tonight, Juke Box Jive, Baby I know.
The Rubettes are performing at Marine Hall, Fleetwood on Friday 20 May at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £20, to book call 01253 887693 or visit www.marinehall.co.uk
