ANOTHER exciting festival of live music is heading to Fleetwood next month, with funds raised going to two good causes.
Teen band OneFourThree are out to prove that the youth of today care by hosting Flanders Fest, a full day of music and fun in aid of The Poppy Appeal and local girl Molly Robinson.
Fleetwood girl Molly, eight, has Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancerous tumour on her face and funds raised will help fund a trip to the USA for a possible operation and a visit to Disney.
The festival takes place at The Loft, Copse Road, Fleetwood, on Saturday, August 6, from 11am until 11pm. The theme will be the two World Wars to celebrate the 90th anniversary of The Royal British Legion.
OneFourThree have an average age of 15 and individually hail from Fleetwood, Thornton, Cleveleys and Kirkham. All the young people taking part in the festival are between nine and 25 years old and will perform different genres of music.
Acts confirmed are: OneFourThree, Phoenix Youth Theatre, Psychafunkashaggadelic, Esperlay, Jess Schreuder, Poison Apple, Sam King, Mike Purkis, Jay Thackeray, Danny and the Daffodils, Triple Threat, Jekyll, and headliners Last Breath.
Entry is by wristband on the door and costs just £3.50.
