The pre-show gig features a seven-strong band line-up of Drongos For Europe, Choking Susan, Geoffrey Oi-Cott, the X-Ray Eyes, Litterbug and Pussycat Kill – and one name unprintable in a daily newspaper – who will be providing the entertainment.

At the end of each day of the four-day festival at the Winter Gardens, punk fans have the opportunity to extend their evenings of musical mayhem deep into the following morning.

Aftershows at the Tache will commence at 11pm and end 4am.

Four bands will play the aftershows each night and there will be the usual array of punk, new wave and ska music inbetween.

The Friday night features local acts CSOD and The Polyesters.

The latter band, along with other local favourites Litterbug, play the festival itself tomorrow.

Pink Hearse will perform the Saturday night at the Tache, on the night NYC legends Reagan Youth also play. Entrance is just £3 for the aftershows.

The weekend also brings some extra matinee shows at the popular venues, with Saturday’s slot filled by local band Ska Face, plus support from post-punk/new wave covers act The Cracked.

Sunday’s event will see the return of the excellent Sex Pistols Experience, with backing from Misfits tribute band Fiendfits. The daytime events kick off at 2pm.
